Burial Services and Fees

Local Understanding

We strive to be the most local, most approachable, most affordable nonprofit cemetery on the West Shore.  Our manager, staff and board directors all grew up in the area and have multiple generations of family at Mt. Olivet… which helps give us a good understanding of local family needs and leads us to offer a range of affordable cremation and traditional vault burial options.

Cremation Urn Burial

Cremation plots (24” x 40”) are available for as low as $500. We are the only cemetery in the area offering smaller, less expensive burial plots sized for cremation urns. Plus, two urns may be interred in one plot. Interment fee, paid at time of burial, is currently $1,250 during normal hours (M-F, 9am to 4pm) and $1,550 outside of normal hours. Fees may be paid in advance. Discounts are available for multiple, adjoining burial plots. Again, talk with Sam Brinley who will tailor services for your needs.

New Cremation Burial Services

Mt. Olivet now offers graveside cremation burial services customized for your needs and budget. Cremation urn pedestal, tent, chairs, and ground coverings are provided for very reasonable fees.

To further help lower burial costs, Mt. Olivet can now order, inscribe, and install flush memorial ground markers and pour cement foundations at very reasonable rates.

Traditional Vault Burial

Two vault plots side by side are available for $4,000. Single plots are $2,500. Plot size is 39” by 10’. Interment fee, paid at time of burial, is currently $2,625 during normal business hours and $3,000 otherwise. One cremation urn may be interred in addition to a traditional vault. Sam Brinley will tailor services for your needs.

Mausoleums

Free-standing, above-ground mausoleums were recently installed for two families. Our general manager, Sam Brinley, will work with you and a memorial company to design what you desire.

Green Burials

Green burials are growing in popularity. While we have yet to perform a Green Burial, we have researched the practice and, if you’re interested, we can work with you and your funeral director to arrange what’s right for you and the cemetery. Costs are similar to traditional vault burial.

Advanced Planning

Planning ahead provides peace of mind for all. It’s an opportunity to plan what’s best for you and your family. It allows time to discuss plans with loved ones and trusted advisors. It removes the burden of your family having to make decisions without you at an emotional time. It gives you the opportunity to visit your community’s beautiful, peaceful, nonprofit cemetery and talk with Sam Brinley about what’s best for you, including locking in low fees and removing financial burdens from your family.

 

Infant Empathy

In the most heartfelt occurrence of an infant’s death, Mt. Olivet Cemetery will work closely with parents during their most difficult time of grief and will cover interment costs at no charge.
