Apple Festival in September
Supporting local families and the community is part of our ongoing mission, which is why Mt. Olivet is proud to be a part of the New Cumberland Olde Town Association’s Annual Apple Festival, held the last Saturday of every September.
Website & Quarterly Newsletter Communication
To help keep families aware of what’s going on at Mt. Olivet, we try to keep this website up to date as well as publish quarterly newsletters that are available via the website homepage, in boxes at the cemetery, and mailed or emailed to families. If you would like to be on the mailing list, please send your home and/or email address to info@mtolivetcemetery.org.

My sister says we have 7 generations at Mt Olivet, and I believe my family epitomizes your mission statement about gathering- We gather there often. (INTERRED: Saurman, Dierich, Getz, Hoover, Danner, Wrightstone, Coble, Rupp, Hampshire, Williams, Breneman, Mast, Keller, Johnson, Shorter, Marshall…probably more…)
Just prior to my Fathers death and burial last year, I wrote a song about how I feel about my visits to Mt Olivet Cemetery, highlighting some of the vignettes of my personal connections because I was afraid my feelings might change when my Dad was gone.
I love the cemetery so much, I think you will hear why in my song.
